This week we have a New Moon in Libra on September 25at 5:55 pm EST (find your time here).
This lunar cycle, our New Moon is on September 25 at 5:55 pm EST.
In astrology, the New Moon is a time of new beginnings and wiping the slate clean. It's when you set your intention for the lunar cycle ahead and call into your life what you want - that could be a physical, tangible thing or something like more love, a joyful daily routine, or a deeper connection to your intuition.
The September New Moon is in Libra - the peacemaker sign that wants everyone to be on the same page.Overall this New Moon is about relationships and how we connect to one another, especially in regards to perhaps how we used to connect or how we used to approach relationships, and how we want to change that or shift that going forward. This is because this New Moon is activating the Saturn square Uranus transit that was exact three times last year, once again bringing to light the space between the new and the old, the innovative and the outdated, the way we've always done things and seeing things in a new light. This space sometimes seems like an uncross-able cavern and this New Moon is giving us the energy we need to approach this dichotomy with fresh eyes and transform it into a bridge of respect and the understanding that we're all connected, that we're all in this together.
Echoing this sentiment, the chart for this New Moon involves a Thor's Hammer, a tool that can be used to dismantle the walls we once constructed but no longer need. The caution is that we are not Thor - we don't know how to use this hammer! Especially with Mercury being retrograde right now, any insight or sudden bursts of inspiration should be considered carefully before taking action. We'll need to let ourselves take a step back and look at the situation from a grounded angle, consulting and collaborating with others for group insight and wisdom. If we try to take up the hammer and immediately begin smashing walls, or if we don't pause and reflect, and perhaps share our thoughts with others, we'll end up smashing down our own house when we really just meant to smash the fence surrounding it.
The Moon and Sun are opposite Jupiter in this chart, suggesting that is definitely the potential for overdoing, overindulging, over promising, and forgetting the rose colored glasses we have on. Again, Mercury is currently retrograde and will be until October 2, so this is a trap we can easily fall in, as our mind isn't quite as sharp as normal.
And finally, this New Moon involves a trine to Pluto, encouraging us to reflect on our inner landscape, on our personal struggles and desires for passion and power. This is a good time to get clear on your inner motivations and shadows that sometimes drive you. Being intimately aware of these will help you access the wisdom you need to not accidentally throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Some questions to ask yourself on this New Moon:
How can I achieve more balance in my life?
Where do I view things from a "me" perspective, instead of "we"?
How can I help work to ensure that everyone has a metaphorical seat at the table?
