My Favorite Tools for Grounding
Now that I’ve shared with you My Morning Routine, I thought I’d share some of my favorite tools for grounding, tools that I use during that sacred time when the earth is still waking up from her nightly slumber. By no means are these the only tools I use, but I figured it’d be better to share just a few with you that I use consistently. This is the beauty of listening to your body and connecting to what makes you feel good. You get to play around and find what works for you. What lights you up and feels with you happiness? Whatever it is, use that in your sacred time.
As a side note before we get started, I think the BEST tool for grounding, finding your center, recharging, realigning, and pretty much anything that you need, is mama nature herself. For you that could be a patch of grass, a single tree, a forest, a rock, a mountain, a lake, a stream, a river, an ocean. But I think everyone should find their spot out in nature that they can go to to refuel. I go to my garden, or a nearby wooded area with hiking trails.
First up on my list of tools are tealights. They are all over my altar spaces. This one is my ‘Full Moon’ tealight (you can find them here). I love tealights because they’re small and I don’t have to worry about burning them for a certain length of time to get the proper amount of wax melted. Plus they fit perfectly in pretty little raku bowls.
Mala prayer beads. This mala is from Danielle LaPorte and it is so stunning. The beads are sandalwood and yep, that’s a huge, faceted quartz. I love to use these beads with my favorite mantra, “Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha”, often called the Ganesha mantra, which is used for removing obstacles in our life.
Prayers of Honoring by Pixie Lighthorse (available on Amazon here). This book is so beautifully written and Pixie provides the graceful words of my heart that I just can’t find. This is one of my favorite books to pick up and read in the morning as I’m sipping my tea.
Oracle decks are such a huge part of my mornings. They anchor me and ground me, give me a guide post to light my way. For me, oracle decks give me a tangible way of connecting to my intuition – something that I struggle with given my very logical, analytical Virgo mind. I have a huge collection of them, but I’m only going to be talking about my current favorite here.
The Spirit de la Lune oracle deck. This deck has very quickly become a daily favorite of mine. There is something about it that truly speaks to my soul and helps me feel connected to the universe and the energy around me. I love that you can also use the cards as reference for the current moon phase, astrological sign the moon is in or even the full moon sign.
What are some of your favorite tools? I’d love to know what your favs, just leave a comment below!
